When it comes to computer junk file cleaners, the name of CCleaner is probably one of the first things that many people think of because it was a popular tool for clearing caches, deleting unnecessary files, and making the system more slippery.

But as time went on, the program grew bigger and more unnecessary features and more advertisements and tow software became so annoying that many users began to look for alternatives.

Most recently, a new tool called FluentCleaner was launched on GitHub, which featured open source, free use, and designed specifically for Windows 11. The program uses the WinUI 3 design to make the look and experience harmonize with the system, with ideas that go back to the era when CCleaner was still simple.

FluentCleaner is the work of builtbybel developers behind Windows customization tools like Flyby11 or Flyoobe. The program uses winapp2.ini files as a list of commands to tell the program which files can be deleted.

It makes it possible to detect and delete junk files, from temporary files, browser caches, residual files from uninstalled programs, to system logs and memory dump. It effectively restores storage.

The user first selects a category scan and then can tick the item they want to delete and display the amount of space they will get back. Unlike some tools that focus on one-click clearing, FluentCleaner requires more user participation and reduces the risk of accidental deletion of important data.

The program is not designed to increase FPS or speed up leap-by-leap performance, but focuses on long-term administration, such as unconsciously clearing eaten areas, solving app problems from broken caches, reducing the size of backup files, and managing personal data like usage history or files left over from deleted apps.

FluentCleaner also provides some add-on features, such as a post-install cleaning tool, a debloat function to reduce system clutter, as well as a BIOS / UEFI wizard that tells each motherboard settings button.

However, given the relevance of system files and the Registry, developers also recommend careful use, should back up key data first, and avoid removing uncertainties.
