NVIDIA is officially set to retire the NVIDIA Control Panel for more than 20 years. New drivers after this will no longer come with the traditional Control Panel and will switch to the entire NVIDIA App instead.
.
NVIDIA Control Panel has long been considered a dual-user program for NVIDIA screen cards. It is used to customize graphics, screen resolutions, multiple displays, and game and app performance settings. But in the latter, NVIDIA gradually moved these features into NVIDIA App, a new app that combines both Control Panel and GeForce Experience capabilities.
.
Within the NVIDIA App, users can update drivers, customize game graphics, set up DLSS / RTX, use Overlay, record video, screen caps, as well as customize the performance of the screen card from one place, eliminating the need to use multiple separate programs as before.
.
However, the former Control Panel may not have disappeared from the user's machine immediately, especially the ones installing drivers over the older versions, but after this, NVIDIA will focus primarily on the NVIDIA App, and the former Control Panel will be phased out eventually.
