Medical Coding Books

Medical coders use 3 different books on a daily basis. The first one is the ICD-10-CM book, which has all different diagnosis codes in it. The second book is the CPT book, which has procedure codes in it. The last book is the HCPCS book and it has supply codes. It took years for me to get a job in coding after I was certified as well. I couldn’t believe I got hired at a hospital 3 years ago, because they always want experience. But I love it here!! Happy Coding 🍋
