Get these if you get sick while traveling in Japan

1. Lulu gold

Lulu gold has a combination of medicines that can help lower the fever, help ease the pain, runny or stuffy nose and more. It comes in powder form or capsule form. Powder form tastes absolutely awful, but it works better in my opinion!

2. Eve quick dx

This is an upgrade from Eve or Eve quick. This one has 200mg and is made to work quicker than other version of this

3. Lipovitan fine

It’s like an energy shot, not the best taste of cursed but will ease your tiredness

4-6. Vitamin jellies

All these are made in jelly form so easy to swallow even on a day when your throat hurts! It is pretty sour considering the amount of vitamin c each of these contain.

**not a medical advice simply sharing what I get when I get sick in Japan and what has worked for me! Thank you for reading 🎀

... Read moreTravel often comes with unexpected challenges, and falling ill in a foreign country can be particularly daunting. Based on my personal experiences exploring Japan, I've put together a list of essential Japanese medicines that have truly saved my trips. Knowing what to grab when you're feeling under the weather can make all the difference! When it comes to battling a cold, Lulu Gold cold medicine is my absolute go-to. I can attest that while the powder form isn't the tastiest, its effectiveness for symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, and general cold aches is remarkable. I usually feel a significant improvement within a few hours. It’s a staple in Japanese drugstores, and knowing about it beforehand can save you a lot of discomfort. For those who prefer capsules, they offer that too, though I find the powder works faster for me. For headaches or any sudden body pains, Eve Quick DX is a true lifesaver. This upgraded version is incredibly fast-acting, and I've found it to be very effective for everything from stress-induced headaches to menstrual cramps. It’s a powerful pain relief tablet that works quickly to get you back on your feet and enjoying your trip. Always keeping a pack in my travel first-aid kit is a priority. Beyond just treating symptoms, sometimes you just need a boost to fight off that lingering tiredness. Lipovitan Fine, an energy shot, is fantastic for those days when you're feeling completely drained from sightseeing or battling a bug. It might not taste like a gourmet drink, but it genuinely helps ease fatigue and gives you that extra push you need. I consider it a secret weapon against travel exhaustion. And for soothing a sore throat or just needing an immunity boost, the various vitamin jellies are a godsend. Especially when your throat hurts, swallowing pills can be difficult, so these easy-to-consume jellies are perfect. I particularly love the Lemon Jelly, Daily Vitamin Jelly (Grapefruit), and Daily Vitamin Jelly (Peach) varieties. Not only are they packed with essential vitamins like Vitamin C, but their slightly sour yet refreshing taste is quite pleasant and helps with that scratchy throat feeling. They are also great for overall wellness and ensuring you get your daily vitamins while on the go. You can find many different kinds, so pick a flavor that appeals to you! A final tip for buying medicine in Japan: most drugstores like Matsumoto Kiyoshi or Daikoku Drug have a wide selection. Don't hesitate to use a translation app on your phone if you need help understanding labels, or ask a staff member – they are usually very helpful. Being prepared with these essentials will help ensure your trip to Japan is memorable for all the right reasons, not for feeling sick!
