Mini book reviews 📚🫶

I’m once again telling you that I will never do long, in depth book reviews 😂 it’s just not my style🤷‍♀️

These mini reviews are my favorite way to show how I felt about books, more than just a star rating. My ratings are also just purely vibes based, so having context helps with recommendations 📚😂

... Read moreMini book reviews are a fantastic way to share your reading experiences without the pressure of lengthy analyses. I personally enjoy this style because it captures the emotional and intuitive responses that a reader might have, which is often what drives book choices. When I first started reading books like 'Paradise Rot' by Jenny Hval, the unique blend of bizarre imagery and unsettling themes made me pause and reflect on how literature can challenge comfort zones. Although some scenes might be grotesque, that's the very point — it invites a different kind of engagement with art. Similarly, thriller fans will appreciate 'Dead of Winter' by Darcy Coates for its dark, tense atmosphere and beautiful plot unfolding. What stands out is the willingness of the story to dive deep into the thriller genre's darker elements without holding back, which I find refreshing amid many predictable stories. 'We Were Liars' by E. Lockhart is another great example where, despite guessing plot points early, the novel still delivers a powerful and unforgettable reading experience. This shows that sometimes, the journey and the vibe of a story can matter more than pure suspense. Using mini reviews like these not only makes for fun, easily digestible content but also helps friends and fellow readers get a sense of whether a book matches their mood or taste. I highly recommend giving mini reviews a try if you want to connect with others over books in a quick, honest, and engaging way. After all, reading should be about enjoyment and the personal journey, not just star ratings or spoilers.
