Quit Sleeping On Canva’s Free Planner Templates

So many people are not taking advantage of their iPad's like they should! It's always great to support your fav Etsy shop by purchasing a digital planner, but sometimes you don't want to spend the money! I found a way to change up your planner as often as you want for free!

I LOVE Canva for this exact reason! Here is how to get free planner templates from Canva!

1 - Go to Canva.com

2 - Search for any planner you want. I normally like monthly and weekly views but you can find daily planners and even things like habit trackers, time blocking schedules, and school planners. (some will say Pro on the bottom right but there are SO many that are free to use!)

3 - Once you've chosen a planner, download it.

4 - Upload it to your favorite note-taking app! I love Goodnotes!

Beyond just monthly and weekly planners, Canva offers various styles including daily planners, habit trackers, time blocking schedules, and even school planners—all available for free without requiring a Pro subscription. I love how easy it is to search for exactly what I need and customize it to my liking. Once you pick your favorite template, downloading it is a breeze. I prefer uploading it to GoodNotes on my iPad, which lets me annotate, add stickers, and personalize the pages extensively. This technique allows me to change planners as frequently as I want without spending money on new ones—perfect for adapting to different seasons or goals. Many don’t realize that while some Canva templates are marked “Pro,” there's a vast selection of free ones that offer just as much functionality and style. Searching carefully helps you avoid unnecessary subscriptions and unlock creative freedom. This approach also means you can mix and match different planner types depending on your needs. For example, use a monthly overview to track big-picture goals and daily or weekly planners for more detailed task management. Adding habit trackers or meal plans adds even greater value. If you want to explore even further, combining Canva’s templates with simple productivity tips—like time blocking or prioritizing daily tasks—can dramatically improve your organization. I’ve found that this digital planning workflow on an iPad keeps me motivated and reduces paper clutter. Give this free Canva planner hack a try.
