If You Have ADHD You Need This Study Schedule!!

☕️If you have ADHD or just find it hard to sit down and study for a long period of time then this study schedule should help you out this semester!!

👩🏻‍💻I know it can be hard to see these posts about study schedules for 5+ hours and feel like you aren't able to accomplish something like that! Thats why I wanted to share some shorter study schedules that are still full of productive learning time, but also include a good amount of breaks and other activities to keep you from getting burnt out from studying.

🧠When you struggle with ADHD, ADD, or just an inability to focus, it's important to give yourself the resources and time that you require instead of trying to make yourself fit into a box that isn't meant for you.

📋I have include a 3 hour study schedule and also a 2 hour version if 3 hours is too long. You can start with the 2 hour schedule and see how it worked for you. Feel free to make adjustments and change the schedule to work with your learning style! If you are able to achieve the 2 hour schedule then try out the 3 hour version!!

💭Let me know in the comments what you struggle the most with, when it comes to studying!

... Read moreBeyond just having a schedule, I've found that how I approach each study session and my breaks makes a huge difference, especially with ADHD. One technique that pairs perfectly with these shorter study blocks is the Pomodoro Technique. It's super simple: you pick a task, set a timer for 25 minutes, and intensely focus. When the timer rings, you take a 5-minute break. After four 'pomodoros,' you take a longer break, say 15-30 minutes. This structured approach helps train your focus and makes those 'deep focus study sessions' feel achievable, even when your brain wants to wander. I often use a timer app on my tablet or computer monitor to keep track, and I find having a good pair of headphones helps block out distractions while I'm in my study zone. During those crucial short breaks, it’s tempting to just scroll on your phone, but I've learned that truly effective breaks reset your mind and body. For me, "stretching during study break" is a game-changer! A quick stretch at my desk, reaching for the sky, or even a few yoga poses, really loosens up the tension. Sometimes, I'll even do a "short walk study break" – just a quick loop around my room or outside to get some fresh air. It helps clear my head and re-energizes me for the next session. This is part of building a truly "healthy study routine" that supports your well-being, not just your grades. When it comes to the actual "adhd study techniques" within those focused blocks, I try to make it as active as possible. Instead of just re-reading notes, I'll practice active recall – trying to remember information without looking, or teaching it out loud to an imaginary friend. Using flashcards, drawing diagrams, or even color-coding my notes can make learning more engaging. Setting up a dedicated "student study routine desk" is also key. I like to keep my space clear, with just my essentials like my computer, a notebook, and a glass of water. Sometimes, I'll even put on some ambient music or use soft lighting, like a warm pink light, to create a calm atmosphere that signals my brain it's time to focus. Remember, the goal isn't perfection, but progress. Adjust these tips to fit your unique style, and you'll find your study sessions becoming much more productive and less overwhelming!
