Study Schedule To BEAT Procrastination!!

💻 If you're anything like me then you might find yourself procrastinating to get your work done and to actually sit down and study!

I have put together a study schedule that I like to follow for when I am procrastinating but have a lot of studying to get done. This schedule includes before, during, and after studying because when you are struggling to beat procrastination, what you do before and after your routine can really affect how you associate studying and can improve your experience for the next study session!

I know not everyone can follow this schedule perfectly, but hopefully you will find the structure of it helpful and adjust any of the times to make it fit your lifestyle!

💌SAVE this for your next study session!

✅FOLLOW for more study schedules!

... Read moreIt's so easy to fall into the trap of all-nighters and endless cramming, which often leaves us feeling burnt out and even more prone to procrastination. When I started researching what truly makes a 'healthy study routine', I realized it's not just about the hours you put in, but how you take care of yourself during those hours. It’s about creating a sustainable rhythm that supports both your academic goals and your mental well-being. For me, integrating practices like a mindful morning routine has been a game-changer. Instead of immediately grabbing my phone, I now spend the first 15-30 minutes truly waking up. Starting with a few minutes of meditation isn't just a trend; it genuinely helps calm my mind, reduce anxiety, and sets a positive, focused tone for the day. This makes it so much easier to dive into work without feeling overwhelmed or distracted. And let's not underestimate the power of organizing the study space – a tidy environment leads to a tidy mind! I used to just leave my notes and books scattered, but now, a quick tidy-up before I even begin helps me feel prepared, reduces visual clutter, and lowers my stress levels before I even open a textbook. Trust me, it makes a huge difference in mental clarity. During my actual study blocks, I've found the Pomodoro technique to be incredibly beneficial for maintaining concentration without burning out. It forces me to take regular, short breaks, which actually boosts my focus and prevents fatigue. Instead of pushing through until exhaustion, these structured breaks allow my brain to reset. And those midday routine elements like having a proper, nutritious lunch away from my desk and engaging in light physical activity? They're absolutely non-negotiable for maintaining sustained energy levels. Even a 15-minute walk outside, stretching, or doing a few quick exercises can re-energize my brain more effectively than another cup of coffee, and it helps combat the sedentary nature of studying. I often combine my lunch break with a walk to get some fresh air. Finally, the 'after' study period is just as crucial for mental recovery and consolidating what you've learned. Taking a few moments for reflection on what I've accomplished and what I've learned helps solidify knowledge and gives a sense of completion. But then, it's essential to truly disconnect from academic tasks. Engaging in hobbies and activities I enjoy, or establishing a relaxing evening routine like reading a non-academic book, listening to music, or doing some gentle stretching, helps my mind unwind properly. This signals to my brain that it's time to switch off. Prioritizing quality sleep isn't just about feeling rested the next day; it's when our brains consolidate memories and process information from the day. Neglecting sleep is one of the quickest ways to sabotage any study routine. It's about building a sustainable routine that supports both your academic goals and your overall physical and mental well-being. Remember, a healthy mind performs better, and a healthy routine makes studying less of a chore and more of an integrated part of a balanced life!
