Just like the outline method, information is organized using headings, subheadings, and bullet points to show relationships between ideas. But I've adapted it to make it even more intuitive and visually appealing, especially for someone like me who often studies digitally on an iPad. Here’s how I break it down, expanding on the core tips: 1. Strategically Split Your Notes into Sections: Instead of one long stream of text, I create distinct sections. For instance, I’ll have a main heading for the lecture topic, then subheadings for key concepts. Under each concept, I use bullet points for details, examples, and definitions. Think of it as creating a mini table of contents for each study session. This hierarchical structure is a hallmark of effective outlining, making it easy to see the main ideas and their supporting details at a glance. For instance, if I’m studying a chapter on photosynthesis, I might have sections for 'Light-Dependent Reactions,' 'Light-Independent Reactions,' and 'Factors Affecting Photosynthesis.' 2. Master the Art of Accent Colors and Symbols: This is where my notes really come alive, especially on a digital note-taking screen. I assign specific colors to different types of information.
