How I make money as a college student!

As a college student, I’ve started making a couple ways to get income:

1. Working part time at a restaurant!

I work at a place called wow wow lemonade where I make foods and drinks, prep them, and clean!! I’ve been at my job for over two years and I love it! I make $14.35 an hour and usually work 20-25 hours a week.

2. Pet sitting!

I usually dog sit but I’ve also done cat sitting! I have 3 usual families and individuals that I dog sit for. So, I usually get a job every 2-3 months or sometimes for frequently. These jobs range in a total of $100-1,200. I’ve taken care of some for a few days and some for a few weeks! It’s a very easy job and I get to spend time with animals:)

3. I sell digital products on Etsy!

This is my newer side job, so I haven’t made a lot yet, but It’s promising! I currently have up some Coloring pages, digital planners, and worksheets! My sales range from $2-5 on one item.

Making money as a college student is definitely possible!! And it doesn’t have to stress you out too much. Look into some smaller side hustles and don’t worry if they don’t seem like they’ll profit super fast!

Exploring various opportunities not only helps financially but also enriches your skills and experiences. Besides working part-time in restaurants, which often provide flexible hours and decent pay, you can also consider pet sitting. This job allows you to connect with pet owners while enjoying quality time with animals. Pet sitting jobs can pay anywhere from $100 to $1,200 per job, depending on the duration and tasks involved. Selling digital products on platforms like Etsy is another lucrative option. With the growing trend of digitalization, many students are successfully creating and selling printables such as planners, coloring pages, and other educational resources, earning between $2 to $5 per sale. This venture can become scalable as you expand your product range and leverage social media for marketing. Additionally, it's essential to organize and manage your time effectively while juggling studies and these side hustles. By balancing your coursework with part-time jobs, you gain valuable life skills like time management and financial independence. Embrace smaller, manageable side gigs that align with your interests and be patient as you build your earnings. It's a journey of learning and adaptation, but the rewards can be significant and fulfilling!
