✨ 10 Things I No Longer Do on My Weight Loss Journey ✨

Weight loss isn’t just about what you start doing—it’s also about what you stop doing.

These are 10 habits I’ve left behind that have made the biggest difference in my mindset and progress:

🤍 Skipping protein at meals

🤍 Drinking my calories without thinking about it

🤍 Waiting until Monday to start over

🤍 Obsessing over the number on the scale

🤍 Eating because I’m bored

🤍 Letting one “off” meal ruin my progress

🤍 Trying extreme diets I can’t stick to

🤍 Comparing my journey to other people’s

🤍 Expecting overnight results

🤍 Speaking negatively about my body

I’ve learned that progress isn’t about perfection. It’s about making small choices every day that support the life you’re trying to build.

I’m still learning, still growing, and still showing up for myself—and that’s something to be proud of. 💗

... Read moreEmbarking on a weight loss journey taught me that what you avoid can be just as impactful as what you add to your routine. For example, I used to drink calories mindlessly—like sugary drinks or high-calorie coffee beverages—that slowly added up and stalled my progress. By consciously cutting these out, I reduced unnecessary calorie intake effortlessly. Protein intake was another game-changer. Skipping protein left me feeling unsatisfied and led to overeating later. Prioritizing protein at every meal stabilized my energy and curbed cravings. I also learned to ditch the "start on Monday" mindset; waiting to begin fresh often delayed action and momentum. Instead, starting well any day helped me maintain consistent progress. Obsessing over the scale was emotionally draining and misleading—muscle gain, water retention, and other factors all play a part. Focusing on how clothes fit and energy levels gave a more holistic view. Boredom eating was a challenge; I began addressing emotions differently and found healthier distractions. One "off" meal no longer ruins a day or week. Being flexible with diet helps sustainability, which extreme diets lacked for me. Comparing myself to others only sparked frustration; embracing my unique journey allowed me to celebrate small wins. Lastly, expecting overnight results led to disappointment; real change happens with patience and persistence. Most importantly, I stopped speaking negatively about my body. Self-love and kindness improved my mindset and motivation. These small but powerful shifts transformed my experience. Remember, weight loss is about consistent small choices, not perfection, and supporting yourself with a positive mindset will keep you moving forward.
