Ultimate Nick Fury Was the Variant That Started It All
He Is the Modern Interpretation of Nick Fury
This is the variant of Nick Fury that led to the modern interpretation of the character. Ultimate Nick Fury was there for practically every major event of Ultimate Marvel. From the Ultimates to the Avengers, Fury had a hand in all of it. Of course, the most obvious feature about him was his uncanny resemblance to Samuel L. Jackson. Which, funnily enough, was what led to the actor later portraying him in the MCU. Originally, Marvel did not acquire consent to use Jackson's likeness for the character, leading to him being offered the role of Fury in the movies.
This version of Fury has been a soldier and spy for nearly a century, having been active to fight in World War II and being given a prototype version of the super soldier serum that would later be used on Captain America. It increased his physical abilities as well as his lifespan. This version might honestly be the most dangerous of the bunch, given everything he has been through.
