... Read moreBased on my own experience with gut healing, I found that making gradual changes over a few weeks was key to lasting results. I started by tracking my meals and noticing which foods triggered bloating or discomfort. This awareness motivated me to remove obvious junk like fast food and soda and mostly focus on whole, unprocessed foods. In week one, I didn’t rush to change everything. Instead, I prioritized drinking more water and improving my sleep because gut health thrives on proper hydration and rest. Adding consistent meal times really helped my digestion regulate and reduced random hunger pangs. Moving into week two, I completely cut out gluten and dairy—two common triggers for gut inflammation. I replaced raw vegetables with cooked ones to make digestion easier and started including bone broth daily, which is rich in collagen and supports the gut lining repair. In the final phase, I incorporated fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi in small amounts, which introduced beneficial probiotics. Drinking warm lemon water each morning became a crucial part of my routine—it kickstarted digestion and helped flush toxins naturally. I also tried ginger tea after meals to soothe my stomach. An unexpected but impactful change was shifting my last meal earlier in the evening, around 5 to 6 pm, and fasting overnight until 8 am. This extended fasting window gave my gut the downtime it needed to repair itself, leading to less inflammation and waking up feeling truly hungry and energized. Lastly, I included some herbal supplements like moringa powder to support energy and skin health. Throughout, the focus remained on progress—starting small and staying consistent rather than perfection. If you’re looking to improve your gut health and overall wellness, consider this gradual, mindful approach. Cutting processed foods was the foundation, but combining hydration, proper sleep, meal timing, and gentle gut-supporting habits made all the difference for me.
