Yesterday my Doc informed me that I need to stop running for a couple months while I heal my knee. This last run was already scheduled and it was my youngest’s first 5k. The strength I’ve developed this year allowed me to carry him for a quarter of the run. It was a bittersweet way to conclude this

What started off as an amazing run, still has me limping days after. My wife joined us for the first 5k. However, at mile 5 my knee was spint, but I refused to stop. We finished our second half marathon, with alot more walking than desired but now I know where to focus my training. Gotta strengthen
