The Six P’s That Will Refill Your Cup

✨protecting your energy fills your cup because you’re SELECTIVE about where you spend your energy. You’re aware of the energy budget you have, and know how to discern when to save and when to spend. Giving you more time to spend energy on things that FILL YOU UP!

✨pausing before committing, whether that’s to plans, a project, or something you’re about to speak out into the world preserves your energy in so many ways! It goes back to protecting your energy, it prevents you from low vibrational energy like resentment, and it potentially keeps negative consequences at bay

✨giving permission slips is always something I do with my clients, and something I’d recommend doing for you! Keep a jar of permission slips, and pull one when you’re feeling your cup is empty. Whatever slip you pull will be your permission to do that thing that will hopefully help fill your cup

✨your principles are your guiding truths, the foundations of your behavior. Being indecisive is an energy drainer, but so is following others. When all else fails, let your principles make the call for you.

✨keeping one small promise a day to yourself not only fills your cup, but also builds self-trust!

✨staying private is my number one way to fill my cup. I really enjoy sharing, and creating, but sometimes a lot of that can drain me. Other people’s opinions can also be draining. Pulling back and becoming more private and to yourself when you need to is such an underrated skill. If it’s something you struggle with…maybe it’s something you write a permission slip for? 😉

Which if the six P’s do you need to do a little more of?

... Read moreRefilling your cup is about more than just rest—it's about intentional actions that nurture your energy and promote overall well-being. One foundational step is protecting your energy by being selective in where and how you spend it. Consider your energy budget as a valuable resource; saving it for activities that truly uplift you fosters sustained positivity and motivation. Pausing before committing is another powerful tool. Taking a mindful moment before agreeing to plans or projects helps you avoid overextension and prevents the buildup of resentment. This pause creates space for thoughtful decisions aligned with your needs. The practice of giving yourself permission slips can be transformative. By keeping a jar of permission slips, you grant yourself formal approval to engage in restorative activities when your energy feels depleted. This strategy encourages self-compassion and intentional refueling. Adhering to your core principles acts as a compass, especially when faced with decisions or external pressures. Following personal guiding truths conserves energy by reducing indecisiveness and the exhaustion that comes from trying to meet others’ expectations. Building self-trust through keeping even one small promise to yourself daily strengthens your sense of reliability and self-care habits. These small commitments nurture confidence and gradually fill your emotional cup. Lastly, embracing privacy as a way to protect your energy is often underrated. Taking deliberate steps to pull back from sharing or exposing yourself to draining opinions can create the space needed to restore your spirit. By applying these Six P’s—pause, protect, permission slips, principles, promises, and privacy—you build resilient energy reserves that empower you to live authentically and vibrantly. Which of these practices can you integrate more into your daily routine to feel more recharged and balanced?
