The book I’ll be finishing tonight

"Untamed" by Glennon Doyle is a powerful and transformative memoir that challenges readers to break free from societal expectations and embrace their true selves. Doyle’s writing is both raw and poetic, filled with personal anecdotes that resonate deeply with readers. Her journey of self-discovery, love, and personal liberation is both inspiring and relatable, offering a roadmap for anyone seeking to live more authentically.

Doyle’s exploration of themes such as identity, motherhood, love, and personal growth is profound. She encourages readers to listen to their inner voice, trust their instincts, and reject the constraints imposed by society. Her candid reflections on her struggles and triumphs make the book deeply personal and universally appealing.

"Untamed" is a call to action for women to reclaim their power and live boldly. It’s a book that inspires, challenges, and empowers readers to embrace their true selves without apology. Whether you’re looking for motivation, comfort, or a new perspective, "Untamed" offers valuable insights and a fresh, invigorating outlook on life.

Just the story of Tabatha the cheetah in the beginning of the book is so in my name and get home for me more than I thought it would. Reading this book has definitely made me rethink my relationship with being a mother and wife and just my femininity itself Reevaluating what being a woman even means to me. Helping me to find my own womanhood.

If you’re a girl or woman who feels out of place in this modern world i definitely recommend this book to help you find your place.

... Read moreWhen you first encounter 'Untamed' by Glennon Doyle, whether through its striking cover or a friend’s enthusiastic recommendation, you might be drawn in by its promise of something profound. But let me tell you, what’s inside this book is a journey far wilder and more transformative than any cover could fully convey. I’ve been utterly captivated by Glennon’s raw honesty, and it’s truly a recommended read for anyone feeling a little lost in the noise of modern life. The concept of our 'wild side' is something Glennon brings to life so vividly right from the beginning, particularly with the powerful story of Tabatha the cheetah. It’s not just a cute anecdote; it’s a profound metaphor that stuck with me long after I first read it. Tabatha, born in captivity, has no concept of the wild savanna, and yet, there’s an inherent longing there. It made me question: How many of us, like Tabatha, have been born into or conditioned by environments that tell us what a 'good life' should look like, without ever truly knowing our own inherent wildness? Glennon challenges us to ask if we’ve unknowingly settled for a 'good life' when our souls are aching for an 'untamed' one. This book isn't just about rebellion for rebellion’s sake; it’s about deep self-inquiry and finding the courage to live authentically. As a woman, a mother, and a partner, I’ve often felt the invisible ropes of societal expectations. 'Untamed' became a mirror, reflecting back all the ways I’d been trying to fit into molds that simply weren't made for me. It gently, yet fiercely, pushed me to re-evaluate what being a woman truly means to *me*, not what I’ve been told it should mean. It's about shedding those expectations and embracing the messy, beautiful, powerful truth of who you are, without apology. Glennon Doyle’s journey, shared with such vulnerability, makes you feel like you’re not alone in your quiet struggles. Her reflections on identity, motherhood, and love are profoundly relatable. She encourages us to listen to that 'knowing' within ourselves, that quiet voice that often gets drowned out by external pressures. For me, reading 'Untamed' has been an active process of discovering my own womanhood, not as an external role, but as an internal, vibrant force. It’s about understanding that true liberation comes from within, from giving ourselves permission to be fully, gloriously ourselves. If you're someone who’s ever felt like you don’t quite fit in, or if you’re yearning for a deeper connection to your own spirit, I cannot recommend 'Untamed' enough. It’s a book that empowers you to never lose your wild side, to trust your instincts, and to build a life that is truly yours. It’s more than just a book; it’s an invitation to a revolution of self, and it’s an invitation I believe everyone deserves to accept.
