Creating Art Is Healing🤗💛

What hobbies or interests have you found to be healing? ~ Creating art is healing to me and I use art as my therapy. Even if your interest is not painting and drawing like mine, it’s vital to find the time to do something regularly that you enjoy. Not only will it reduce negative stress and declutter the mind, it will also make you happier because it boosts your self-esteem and confidence.

Although I love creating art and sharing my love for art with others I do not consider myself the best artist. What I really find joy in is inspiring and encouraging others. That has always been my gift that I possess. Although I don’t consider myself the best artist, that has not stopped me from creating something every chance I get. My motto is to be free, have fun, enjoy the process of creating, and don’t compare yourself to anybody else. Embrace your own unique style that you bring. 🤗💛

... Read moreCreating art has been an incredible journey for my mental well-being, and I truly believe it holds a unique power to heal our minds and souls. When life gets overwhelming, or when I just need a moment of peace, picking up a pen and paper feels like a comforting embrace. It's not about being a master artist; it's about the process, the release, and the quiet satisfaction of bringing something new into existence. For anyone searching for 'art activities' that genuinely contribute to their mental health, I can't recommend simple drawing enough. It’s a wonderful way to practice 'soul-making art,' where the act of creating becomes a form of introspection and self-care. You don't need fancy supplies or years of training. Think about it – the basic act of drawing, much like the easy line art flowers I love making, can be incredibly therapeutic. Starting with simple 'blobs' on a paper, then transforming them into 'flower shapes' by drawing a 'circle in the center' and 'outlining' them, provides a focused activity that acts as a mental reset button. I've found that the repetitive and mindful nature of drawing, like 'filling it up with different size circles' or 'adding radiating lines' from the center, can be almost meditative. It pulls you away from anxious thoughts and grounds you in the present moment. This kind of focused creative expression profoundly helps with stress reduction, anxiety management, and even boosting self-esteem. It reminds you that you are capable of creating beauty, no matter how small or simple the creation. It's a gentle way to engage your mind and hands, fostering a sense of accomplishment. The beauty of this approach is its accessibility. You don't need to aspire to create museum-worthy pieces. The goal is to connect with your inner self, express what words often cannot, and find solace in the creative flow. Whether you're exploring 'cultural arts drawing' by finding inspiration in universal symbols or simply doodling, the act of drawing connects us to a fundamental human impulse to create and communicate. It’s a universal language that transcends barriers and allows for authentic self-expression. Every 'line art flower' or abstract design you make is a testament to your unique perspective and emotional landscape. Don't be afraid to experiment. Embrace the imperfections, because they are part of your unique style. What I love about these simple drawing exercises is that they empower you to just 'be free, have fun, enjoy the process of creating, and don’t compare yourself to anybody else.' So, grab some paper and a pen. Start with those two blobs, draw your circles, add your lines, enjoy 'filling in the empty space with ink,' and let the healing power of art transform your day.
