The little logo on the box that many people might think is just a decoration... but it's actually a safety certificate.
🇹🇭 TIS - Thai Safety Standards
The word "Mok" stands for Industrial Products Standard, issued by the Office of Industrial Production Standards (Anchor). This agency is responsible for establishing safety criteria for goods produced or sold in Thailand, such as electrical appliances, power banks, power outlets, fans, or rice cookers.
If the product has a TIS logo, it means that it has been "verified and certified by Thailand" that it is safe by standard.
🇺🇸 FCC - Standard from the U.S.
The FCC logo section stands for the Federal Communications Commission, or "Federal Communications Regulatory Commission" of the U.S.
Its primary function is to oversee devices that send or receive electrical signals, radio waves, or wireless signals, such as mobile phones, Bluetooth headphones, Wi-Fi Router, or power banks with charging circuits.
The product, branded FCC, means it "has been tested not to interfere with the signal of another device" and is safe under U.S. law.
🇨🇳 CCC - Standard from China
CCC, short for China Compulsory Certificate, is a safety standard from the Chinese government. It acts similar to Thai TIS, but applies to almost all products sold in China to ensure that the product is "safe to use" and has passed quality checks.
A simple summary.
• TIS = Thai Standard
• FCC = Standard America
• CCC = Chinese Standard
If the product box has these logos on it, it has been verified by the standards of the country.
It does not mean that the product is the best, but it is certain that it is safe.
