hopefully I didn’t miss any lines this time

It's easy to miss lines or spots if the blotting paper isn't applied evenly or if the environment isn’t carefully controlled. I’ve found that using gentle, upward and downward strokes helps distribute pressure evenly, which can prevent smudging and ink diffusion. Additionally, minimizing exposure to dust and moisture during the process can significantly improve the quality of the blotting results. Another important tip is to avoid removing the blotting paper abruptly, as this can cause ink to lift or streak. Instead, lift the paper slowly and steadily. Keeping a dedicated, clean workspace and wearing gloves can also reduce contamination risks. Lastly, always double-check your work to ensure no lines are missed, as even a small oversight might affect the final analysis or imaging. Practicing these simple adjustments has greatly improved the reliability of my blotting outcomes and reduced the chances of having to redo complicated procedures.
