Lunch date 🫶 Reading & Nature 📖
How I spend my lunch breaks WFH fall edition
There’s a certain magic to sneaking away from the glowing computer screen and sinking into a hammock with a book during my lunch break. The gentle sway feels like a reset button, rocking the stress right out of your shoulders. Sunlight filters through the trees, the pages whisper as you turn them, and for just a little while, Teams notifications and emails don’t exist. Working from home has its quirks, but nothing beats the luxury of trading fluorescent lights for fresh air and deadlines for daydreams—even if only until the top of the hour.
& Only because I’m in the south- where it has been incredibly steamy and humid this summer- I can really only enjoy being outside to read during the spring and fall months. 😭
I love being able to go outside on my lunch break and lay in my hammock to read- feeling the breeze and watching the hummingbirds that will soon be migrating! ☀️
It’s so important to get sunshine and outside time if you work from home! 👩🏻💻
What I’m reading 👉🏼 I just started reading Pretty Girls which I won in a giveaway on Goodreads!!
📖Pretty Girls is a dark, twisty psychological thriller that dives into the fractured lives of two sisters, Claire and Lydia, who haven’t spoken in decades. When Claire’s husband is murdered, long-buried secrets resurface, forcing the sisters to confront the unsolved disappearance of their older sibling from years ago. The novel weaves together grief, family trauma, and chilling revelations, pulling readers into a story that’s as emotionally intense as it is terrifying.
Let’s see how this goes!
