• a spooly
Spring cleaning your jetted tub or Jacuzzi doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. From my personal experience, using simple items like dishwasher tablets, white vinegar, and a basic bathroom cleaner can make the process surprisingly easy and satisfying. One trick I’ve found especially helpful is using two dishwasher tablets dissolved in a cup of vinegar combined with hot water and letting that mixture run in the tub’s jets. This agitates and removes built-up grime and bacteria from hard-to-reach spots within the pipes. It’s also essential to have a good cleaning brush and a spoolie brush handy. I picked up a spoolie for a couple of dollars online, and it’s fantastic for scrubbing around knobs, buttons, and the tub’s trim that often harbors dirt. Using a grapefruit-scented cleaner or scrubbing bubbles adds a refreshing touch while loosening stubborn grime. A useful tip is timing your soaking and rinsing cycles carefully. Setting a timer for about 20 minutes allows the cleaning agents to work effectively without needing constant supervision. After the soak, running a cold water rinse cycle helps flush out everything loosened during the cleaning. Personally, I like to repeat the scrubbing and rinsing process a couple of times because the spoolie often shows how much dirt is still coming out, which makes the cleaning feel extra satisfying. Plus, the visual of water draining out in a swirling motion like a tornado is oddly therapeutic! For daily maintenance, using a custom-made shower cleaner spray with water, vinegar, and dish soap keeps surfaces fresh and cuts down on the need for deep cleans. Overall, with a few inexpensive supplies from places like Dollar Tree and a bit of elbow grease, anyone can achieve a sparkling clean jetted tub or Jacuzzi at home. It’s a great self-care ritual and an excellent way to prepare your bathroom for the spring season.
