108 Auspicious things. Who has bowed down, set up a perfect heart?
Many who have been to Pho Temple may have seen the magnificence of "Buddha Sakon" or "Sleeping King," but do you know that... the pearl-inlaid pattern on His Majesty has a deeper meaning than it seems?
That pattern is called "108 auspicious."
It is a concept that comes from the Shinalang supreme scriptures of Lanka, which says that it is what Brahmins see from the King of the Prince of the Right after birth.
The 108 auspices are divided into 3 main groups.
1. Symbol of fortune and abundance
Such as radiator, double fish, lotus flower, jewel bunch, etc.
2. The King's symbol of power and prestige
Such as regalia, thrones, satratana, royal vehicles.
3. Composition of the universe according to the triangles
For example, he, Sumeru, the four continents, the forest.
There's a belief that...
Those who bow down to the ends of the feet, ready to pray, will experience happiness, success, fortune, and fulfillment in love.
The Pho Temple, built in the third reign, is 46 meters long, the largest bed in Bangkok and one of Thailand's most beautiful, so it is not surprising that it is one of the destinations of "paying homage to the nine temples" for its auspiciousness.
📍 next time, if going to Wat Pho
Don't just look at your Majesty. Notice your Majesty...
You may have found an auspicious force that was never known.
