Book Review: Icebreaker
I must say, if you are into young adult novel, romantic comedy, where you’re an advanced level of realistic, insecurities, and a new take on the typical tropes. This is the book for you. I love this book because it was a unique sport and I love that she was an ice skater where it just seems like the sports alone made them have that common trait. The author gave her unique insecurities that are common, but not as talked about compared to like look and everything and she took a twist on the conversation of weight and body dysmorphia. It was a little nervous for me as a reader to see how quickly they connected, but at the same time, I appreciated it because it made the rest of the story flow better in my personally opinion with everything they encounter as a working couple. It’s so relatable in today’s age of dating at this time of transition as a teen to an adult, so it was definitely a very unique relatability that’s not commonly seen. This is the first book I’ve read that was properly published that had an epilogue. So with that, that made me appreciate this book furthermore. It’s definitely hot ticket item. It took me six weeks to get it while waiting in the library. Definitely get your hands on this book when you can.
