i’ve been sitting with this a lot lately.
last year i walked away from my wellness coaching company. not because it failed. not because i was struggling. because it wasn’t me anymore.
i had the thing you’re supposed to want. and i was quietly, privately, not happy. i was doing what i was good at instead of what i loved.
so i made the call. burned the whole thing down on purpose. let my team go. and somewhere in the middle of giving myself permission to start over… i found out i was pregnant with Ry.
dismantling everything. building something new. growing a human. all at once. and lumira was born from that season… a business built entirely around helping coaches build the brand, the funnels, and the backend that actually feel like them.
and here’s what i know from living this more than once 🫶🏽
a brand that doesn’t feel like you anymore isn’t protecting you. it’s containing you.
and you are allowed to outgrow it.
you are allowed to dismantle the whole thing and rebuild it around who you’re becoming instead of who you were. you don’t owe anyone the old version of you just because they followed her. you don’t have to stay in a brand you’re not wildly obsessed with because you spent the last 5 years building it.
it’s okay to grow 🌱
the most magnetic brands aren’t the most consistent ones. they’re the most honest ones. the ones where you can feel the real person inside them. real people evolve. real people have seasons. real people go through things that change them and show up differently on the other side.
so if you’ve been quietly feeling like your brand is wearing you instead of the other way around… that’s not a sign you did something wrong. that’s a sign you’ve grown past it.
give yourself permission to be in the in-between. to not have it figured out. to let the new version of you arrive before you decide what her brand looks like.
who else is in a season of rediscovering yourself and what you want your brand to become? tell me below 🤍
Rebuilding a brand often feels like rebuilding yourself—it’s a deeply personal journey that goes beyond just marketing or strategy. When I dismantled my wellness coaching company, it wasn’t due to failure but because I grew apart from what I had created. This shift was not just professional but very personal, as I was also preparing to welcome a new life. This dual process of growth—both into motherhood and a new business vision—taught me valuable lessons about authenticity and courage. A brand that no longer resonates with your true self can feel restrictive rather than empowering. It becomes a container holding you back, rather than a protector reflecting your essence. This realization helped me embrace vulnerability in my work, allowing me to connect more honestly with my audience. It’s important to remember that your followers support your evolution, not just the old version of you they once knew. In building Lumira, a business dedicated to helping coaches craft brands and systems aligned with their true selves, I witnessed firsthand how authenticity drives stronger connections and client loyalty. Everything from your brand voice to your funnels should feel like an extension of who you genuinely are, not just what is expected or profitable. For anyone navigating the uncomfortable 'in-between' phase of rediscovery, I encourage you to give yourself grace. Not having all the answers immediately is part of the process. Allow the new you to emerge naturally, and your brand will follow in its own time. This honest approach to branding fosters magnetic energy that attracts the right clients and fulfills a deeper sense of purpose. Remember, your brand is not static—it grows as you grow. You don’t owe permanence to your past self or your initial business model. Each season of your life and business offers new opportunities to realign with what excites and fulfills you. Your brand should feel like a vibrant, living reflection of your journey, not a rigid expectation boxed in by previous success.
