Drovers Inn, Scotland

For a traditional Scottish pub experience , and maybe a ghost sighting while you're at it, Drovers Inn is a perfect stop on your Scotland road trip. This cozy pub located in Loch Lomond, offers traditional Scottish food, local ales, a fireplace for cold days, a ton of historic decor photographs and decor (be sure to take a photo with the famous stuffed bear in a kilt!).

The Drovers Inn was established in 1705 and got its name from the Highland drovers who herded their cattle along the lake. It is also a pet-friendly hotel you can stay at (book room 6 if you dare, the most haunted room in the hotel). One of its most famous guests was outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor (think Scottish Robin Hood).

Some of the ghosts that have been witnessed haunting the Inn are a family who died nearby in a snowstorm, a young girl who drowned, a cattle drover hung from the tree out back, and many more.

Although we didn't get to stay in this historic, fascinating hotel , we enjoyed a hot meal and a drink and all the spooky vibes.
