In a few months, Europe will look like this
It’s almost time for one of my all time favorite holiday events - if you have not been to the European Christmas markets yet, it’s time to make a plan! Europe transforms into a real life winter wonderland - it’s pure magic!
Tips for a smooth trip:
🎄 Visit the markets midweek for lighter crowds.
🥶 Dress warm and bring extra layers - it’s colddddd!
Don’t forget comfy shoes, you’ll be doing A LOT of walking.
🎅🏼 Check local market calendars before booking - some markets open as early as beginning November, while others don’t until December (We made this mistake our first trip and ended up paying for a nonrefundable hotel we had booked without realizing the markets were not yet open).
🚊 Prebook train tickets. It will guarantee you a seat and all you have to do is show up. Just be sure to arrive on time, especially if you are visiting Germany - their trains run like clockwork!
🌟 If you are planning a multi-city trip, a great time to go is late November thru early December ( and maximize your Thanksgiving PTO 😉).
🏨 Make sure to book your hotels and flights well in advance. They just get pricier and the most convenient locations book up quick!
