One of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world, and also one of the most haunted, Recoleta Cemetery is a must-visit on your Buenos Aires itinerary.
The cemetery was built in 1822 and is the final resting place to some of Argentina’s most influential figures , the most well known being Eva Peron (aka Evita). Recoleta is filled with ornate mausoleums, wrought-iron gates, vibrant stained glass and hand sculpted angels, making it feel like an open air museum.
