This is why they form that amazing gel-like coating when you soak them. It's not just a cool visual; this gel is packed with soluble fiber, which is fantastic for digestion and can help you feel full longer – a huge plus for anyone like me on a weight management journey. Preparing them is super simple, and honestly, it’s a game-changer. I usually add about 2 tablespoons of chia seeds to a clear glass bottle, just like the one I've shown. Then I fill it with about 1 cup of water. You can also use almond milk or your favorite juice for a bit more flavor. The key is to stir it well right away to prevent clumping, then let them sit. I often let mine soak for at least 20-30 minutes, but sometimes I even prepare them the night before and let them chill in the fridge overnight. The longer they soak, the thicker the gel gets. You'll notice they go from hard, tiny seeds to these soft, swollen pearls suspended in a jelly-like consistency. It's a completely different texture and so much easier to digest.
