📍: it says Dallas but it’s really in Plano
Having visited Liuyishou Hotpot in Plano recently, I can confidently say it’s a must-try for any hotpot lover in the Dallas area. One thing that really stood out to me was the option to choose two different soup bases at once. The Tom Yum broth offers a tangy, light flavor that’s both refreshing and aromatic, perfect for those who enjoy a more Thai-inspired taste. On the other side, the tomato base provided a deep, savory, and slightly spicy profile that balanced the meal beautifully. What elevates the experience is their new skewers menu — packed with exciting, flavorful options that add variety and fun to your dining. I personally loved how tender and well-seasoned the premium sliced meats were, which soaked up the flavors of both broths wonderfully. Fresh veggies and seafood were also plentiful and complemented the meal perfectly. The Family Combo was an excellent choice because it included a little bit of everything — meats, veggies, seafood, noodles or rice, and even drinks. Plus, having full access to the legendary sauce bar means you can customize each bite according to your preferred flavor profile, making the meal interactive and very satisfying. One tip I’d share is to come with a group so you can try more ingredients and share the experience. It’s also worth noting that while the location is often referred to as Dallas, it’s actually in Plano, which is just a short drive away. This hidden gem is perfect for a cozy dinner or a casual night out, and I can’t wait to bring friends next time and introduce them to this hotpot haven!
