It's so easy to get caught up in judging others, isn't it? We see their flaws, their mistakes, their differences, and sometimes, it can be hard to extend them the same grace we hope for ourselves. But something I've been reflecting on lately, inspired by the profound truth that 'IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW PEOPLE SEE YOU... only how God sees you. And for Him, you are His masterpiece!', is how this wisdom can transform how we see others too. If we are all God's masterpieces, unique and wonderfully made, then so is everyone else. Every person we encounter, regardless of their background, beliefs, or actions, carries a divine spark. This idea truly hit home for me recently. I was struggling with a challenging situation involving someone who had genuinely hurt me. My natural instinct was to hold onto anger and resentment. But then I remembered, 'How would God see them in this moment?' It wasn't about excusing their actions, but about recognizing their inherent worth, just as God sees them – as a creation worthy of love, even when they stumble. This perspective really ties into scriptures like 1 John 5. While the chapter has deep theological implications, verses like 1 John 5:1 remind us, 'Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of Him.' This isn't just about fellow believers; it's a call to universal love, rooting our love for humanity in our love for God. It's challenging, for sure! But it prompts us to look beyond the surface, to see the potential, the pain, the humanity that often lies beneath difficult exteriors. Practically, what does it mean to 'see others as God sees them'? For me, it means: Practicing Empathy: Trying to understand their story, their struggles, their motivations, rather than just reacting to their behavior. Extending Grace: Just as God extends grace to us, offering forgiveness and understanding, even when it's hard. Recognizing Inherent Value: Reminding myself that every person is a precious individual in God's eyes, a unique 'masterpiece' with their own journey. Praying for Them: Asking for divine guidance to see them with love and compassion, even when my human feelings want to resist. It's not an overnight transformation, but a daily practice. It's about consciously choosing to look for the good, to understand, and to love, knowing that in doing so, we reflect a little bit of that divine love ourselves. When we embrace this mindset, our interactions become richer, our hearts grow softer, and we truly begin to live out the encouragement that we are all beautiful, flawed, and beloved masterpieces in the eyes of our Creator.
