Solitude Breeds Success ✨

Steve Harvey once said, "If you want to kill a big dream, tell it to small-minded people."

So let's talk about it!

Over the past nine years of my entrepreneurial journey, I have experienced highs and lows. Now, I'm someone who doesn't mind talking about the bad, and I'm most certainly going to speak on the good of it all..

*deep sigh* *a tear might have fell*

and I think that's the hardest lesson that I have had to learn! Regardless of how innocent your intentions may be, not everyone will receive you with a pure heart. People will wish you well to your face, then plot on your downfall behind your back. So, S O L I T U D E is something you'll have to become okay with accepting because your ability to be silent in a season of preparation can make or break everything you've worked towards.

I lowkey went viral on Lemon8 last week. It was completely unexpected and caught me so off guard, especially with me still being new to this platform.. anyways, I say that to say, I never cross promoted or told anyone that I was starting this page. I never asked for a like or a share. I had an idea, I ran with it, and here we are four weeks later.

Most of the time, the only validation you need is from yourself. The idea is proof that you have it in but will you get out your own way and give yourself the permission you seek from others?

It fosters a deeper connection with one's thoughts, enabling effective problem-solving and creativity. Many successful figures throughout history have attributed their achievements to the time spent in solitude. For instance, Albert Einstein often isolated himself to think deeply about his theories. By doing so, he found innovative solutions to complex problems. Similarly, Steve Jobs famously retreated for meditation to cultivate focus and creativity, which were pivotal for Apple’s success. Furthermore, solitude helps in the development of self-awareness, a cornerstone for emotional intelligence. When you are alone with your thoughts, you can critically assess your strengths, weaknesses, and areas needing improvement. This understanding is essential for personal development and ultimately enhances overall performance. Additionally, creating a space for solitude can enhance productivity. By minimizing distractions, entrepreneurs can concentrate better on their work, leading to higher quality outputs. Engaging in mindfulness and solitude practices has shown to reduce stress and increase resilience in the face of challenges. Incorporating regular periods of solitude within your routine can be a game-changer. Whether it’s a quiet morning coffee, a walk in nature, or scheduled 'think time,' these moments can lead to significant breakthroughs.
