As moms, our bags are more than just accessories; they're our portable command centers, our emergency kits, and often, our very sanity keepers! My small, dedicated pouch holds band-aids, antiseptic wipes, a travel-sized hand sanitizer, pain reliever (adult and child versions), and even a small comb. Tissues are also a lifesaver for runny noses or unexpected spills. 3. Entertainment & Distractions: For those moments when you need a few minutes of peace – doctor's waiting rooms, restaurant delays, or long car rides – these come in handy. I usually have a small stack of mini board books, a tiny coloring book with crayons, or a small, quiet toy. Sometimes, my phone loaded with a kid-friendly game is a last resort! 4. Personal Essentials: Of course, I need my own stuff! My wallet, keys, phone, and lip balm are always tucked into an easily accessible pocket. Sunglasses are also a must-have for sunny days. 5. Wipes & Sanitizer: Beyond the first aid kit, a pack of wet wipes is invaluable for sticky hands, dirty faces, or cleaning up surfaces on the go. Hand sanitizer follows every wipe-down! 6. Extra Bag: I always keep a small, foldable reusable bag tucked away. You never know when you'll need extra space for groceries, a spontaneous shopping trip, or to carry home wet clothes from the park. My new Baggu really shines because of its spacious interior and sturdy material. It handles the daily grind beautifully. The key is to regularly declutter. Every few days, I take everything out, throw away trash, restock snacks, and ensure I'm only carrying what I truly need.
