feminist novels that should be required reading
The best kind of feminist literature is historical. I love reading about world history through the lens of a woman. They provide more context than what we learn in history class growing up, and these stories in particular happen to be expertly told, gripping and astounding accomplishments. All three of these books are translated, two from Italian and one from French. These stories will enrage you and deeply affect you. They are some of my all-time favorites that I think everyone should read.
