London Marathon 2025
My most recent marathon at the end of April this year and three weeks after Brighton Marathon.
This was the hardest marathon so far. It was a bright sunny day with temperatures starting around 20°C and rising to about 25°C!
The first part was wonderful and was great to see so many fellow Refuge runners and the Refuge station at Tower Bridge! The second half of the marathon I started running out of steam and towards the end I was stretching every 2km and moving but almost in a state of delirium!
But I finished nonetheless and that finish line was worth it. My slowest marathon so far at 6:54:24 but I was still happy.
And now we do it all again for 2026 with a two week gap between marathons, raising money for Refuge UK. Goa is to lose some weights so it’s easier on the knees and focus on time improvement! See you there!
