WSL1 vs. WSL2 comparison

Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) revolutionizes the way developers use Linux environments on Windows, but choosing between WSL1 and WSL2 depends heavily on your workflow and technical requirements. One of the standout differences between WSL1 and WSL2 lies in their underlying architecture. WSL1 operates using a syscall translation layer integrated with the Windows NT kernel, enabling rapid startup times since it does not run a virtual machine.
