People often think storytelling is just creativity and inspiration, but so much of it is psychology, structure, symbolism, emotional payoff, and intention.

The best stories usually aren’t random. Every character, scene, conflict, relationship, and symbol is often built to reinforce a deeper message or theme.

Once you start understanding storytelling on that level, you begin seeing movies, books, and even people differently.

What’s a story that completely changed the way you see storytelling or human nature?

... Read moreWhen I first began writing stories, I used to think that creativity alone would captivate the audience. However, over time, I realized that great storytelling involves much more—it's about crafting every element with clear intent and understanding the psychology behind it. For example, each character should not only serve the plot but also embody or challenge the story's deeper themes. I once analyzed a favorite novel of mine and noticed how even minor conflicts and symbolic objects were deliberately placed to provoke emotions and make a point. This approach transformed how I view stories—no longer random tales but carefully designed experiences that connect with human nature. One technique I've found incredibly useful is to outline the emotional journey first. Knowing what emotional payoff your story aims for shapes the conflict and relationships organically. This method helps me maintain narrative cohesion and ensure every scene contributes to the overall message. Additionally, symbols have become an important storytelling tool in my work. Something as simple as a recurring motif or a character’s personal item can add layers of meaning, making the story resonate more deeply with readers. Understanding these aspects changed not only how I write but also how I consume media. Movies and books suddenly reveal hidden depths, illustrating the power of intention in storytelling. For anyone passionate about writing or storytelling, embracing structure and symbolism can elevate your work from good to truly memorable.

An infographic contrasting common perceptions of ADHD hyperfocus (productive, impressive, a superpower) with its actual experience, which includes forgetting basic needs, time disappearing, focusing on the wrong things, inability to disengage, ignoring body signals, mental stuckness, crashing, and sudden late-night realizations.

A graphic titled 'Turn Luxury Purchases Into Tax Strategies' explains how entrepreneurs use luxury vehicles like a G-Wagon as tax deductions. How Rich People Turn Luxury Purchases Into Tax Strategies
I used to think wealthy people bought luxury cars just to “look rich.” But the more I study business, taxes, and financial strategy… the more I’m realizing many entrepreneurs think VERY differently about money. Most people see a G-Wagon and think: “that’s a liability.” “that’s expensive.
