I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now. It is a bit oily and has a smell to it but I personally don’t mind it. I do have combination skin but once I add the rest of my serums on top of it, the oiliness goes away and it leaves a glowy appearance. I do feel like I see a difference in my skin tone and I do like the glow it gives me so I will continue to use it. #elfskincare#elfskin#elfvitaminc#vitamincserum#vitaminc

... Read moreOkay, so let's dive deeper into my journey with the e.l.f. Bright Icon Vitamin C + E + Ferulic Serum. When I first started using it, I totally noticed that slightly oily texture and a distinct scent, just like I mentioned before. For a moment, I wondered if it would be too much for my combination skin, which can get shiny in the T-zone. However, I've found that how you layer it makes all the difference!
I usually apply it after cleansing and toning, and before my heavier moisturizer or SPF. I let it sink in for a minute or two, and then, as if by magic, once my other serums and creams are on, that initial oiliness completely disappears, leaving behind a lovely, dewy glow rather than a greasy film. It's like my skin drinks it right up!
What really intrigued me about this serum, and why I wanted to try it, are those star ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic Acid. I did a little research, and it turns out this trio is a powerhouse for brightening and protecting your skin. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is famous for its ability to even out skin tone, reduce dark spots, and boost collagen production – which is exactly what I'm looking for to get that 'difference in my skin tone.' Vitamin E is an excellent antioxidant that helps protect the skin from environmental damage and also works synergistically with Vitamin C to enhance its stability and effectiveness. And Ferulic Acid? It's another antioxidant that not only fights free radicals but also stabilizes both Vitamin C and E, essentially supercharging their benefits. It's like having a dream team working on your complexion!
I've been using it consistently for several weeks now, and I can genuinely say I've noticed my skin looking brighter and feeling smoother. That 'glowy appearance' isn't just an illusion; my skin truly looks more radiant, especially in the mornings. I haven't experienced any breakouts or irritation, which is always a win for my sensitive-ish combination skin.
The question the image overlay asks, 'WORTH IT OR FLOP?', is a big one. For me, it leans heavily towards worth it. Considering its affordable price point, the potent blend of proven ingredients, and the visible brightening and glowing effects I've seen, it's become a staple in my routine. If you're someone with combination skin like mine, or even drier skin types looking for a boost, don't let the initial texture scare you off. Give it a couple of weeks, experiment with your layering, and you might just find your new go-to for a brighter, more even complexion. It truly feels like a little bottle of sunshine for my skin, helping me achieve that healthy, vibrant look I'm always chasing.
Keep going .. CE ferulic is a sensation product that is normally over $100 for LESS than what is in this bottle. The fact that they duplicated it blows my mind. To a TEE the exact same. I love it
