About me (read description)
My name is Jody. I’m 39. I was born with a permanent neural tube birth defect called Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele (which is the most severe form of Spina Bifida) because of this I have other issues that I deal with everyday…all of which I can explain in more detail if you would like. These issues have caused me to endure many surgeries and hospital stays throughout my life thus far.
Despite all of that I was still able to go to school. I graduated High School with an IEP Diploma then went on to college where I got my GED, my Certificate in Early Childhood Development and my Associates Degree in Education with a concentration in Psychology.
I had a Make a Wish granted in 2002 where I met Dale Earnhardt Jr (I can go into more details if you would like just let me know) I ran for Ms Wheelchair NY in 2013 (came in 3rd) then I started Wheelchair Ballroom Dancing in 2013.
