What I Ate Yesterday
Some “what I eat in a day” posts can be super unrealistic and not representative of a person’s real diet, and coming from a background of eating issues and tumblr culture I definitely had to deliberately include everything I actually ate in this post. This is a representation of what I ate yesterday, on a day off, minus the water. I have been on a fitness journey for over a year now, and have recently reexamined my diet and how I can use it to further my goals instead of hinder them. Going forward I will be shifting further away from processed foods and trying to make most things from scratch, but with my work schedule being unpredictable, I will have to rely on premade things from time to time. If you’ve ever changed up your eating habits and seen great progress, please share your experience!

In today's fast-paced world, many people struggle to maintain a healthy diet while balancing work and personal commitments. Understanding the complexity of this challenge, my approach focuses on combining nutritious homemade meals with convenient options. For breakfast, I enjoyed Ezekiel bread paired with chicken sausage and orange, promoting sustained energy throughout the morning. Snack time featured a spicy cucumber salad, great for hydration and essential vitamins. My lunch was a colorful medley of kale, broccoli, cabbage, dried cranberries, and cashews, dressed with a poppyseed dressing that not only adds flavor but also provides antioxidants and healthy fats. Later, I indulged in protein chips with spicy sweet flavors, offering a satisfying crunch while keeping protein intake in check. Dinner was a delicious treat, featuring Shake Shack's double cheeseburger with bacon wrapped in lettuce. While not the most traditional of meals, it illustrates the balance between enjoyment and health. Joining a fitness journey requires flexibility and adaptation; by sharing these experiences, I hope to inspire others to embrace their unique diets. How do you manage your eating habits amidst life's chaos?
