💙 Did you know there’s a strong link between Autism and ARFID?

Many autistic people experience sensory differences, heightened anxiety, a need for predictability, or difficulty recognising hunger and fullness. These differences can make eating feel overwhelming and, for some, lead to ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).

🍽️ ARFID is not fussy eating.

💙 It’s not caused by body image concerns.

🌱 It’s a real, recognised eating disorder that deserves understanding and support.

Every safe food, every tiny taste, every step forward is a huge achievement.

Let’s replace judgement with compassion and help raise awareness for autistic children, young people and adults living with ARFID.

The Clash of the Caregivers 🌪

This is super interesting and helpful. It answers so many questions about my daughter that I’ve been concerned with for many years and not one single clinician has even mentioned ARFID. I actually only began to read about ARFID for the first time through your page. I’m indebted to you but it should never have to be this way either. Clinicians who specialize in autism should have told me this, I shouldn’t be gleaning my information via TikTok/lemon8. Thank you however, that I did.
