Junk wood valentines decor diy
saved a few I-joist cutoffs from when we were building our house, not really knowing what I’d ever do with them. This week, I finally turned one into a little Valentine’s decor piece.
I painted it red, added a soft shiny pink to the raised corners, and painted a white heart in the center. Then I just let myself have fun — painted some old faux flowers red and pink, hot glued a few around the edges, and filled everything in with beads I’ve had for years but never really use.
I used white beads, little white rock pieces, and even a button in the heart, and then filled the red area with a mix of reds, pinks, maroons, and a few black beads here and there. No real plan, just filling in gaps until it felt finished.
