Not Everyone Deserves Access to You
When you truly own your sh*t, life starts opening in a completely different way.
I’ve been through a lot in this life, and today I can honestly say I take responsibility for all of it.
Nothing was an error. Nothing was a mistake. Every situation, every ending, every person had a role in teaching me something I needed to learn.
And sometimes the lesson is simple: not everyone gets to keep access to you.
Since last summer, I started doing this work consciously, and owning your life doesn’t happen overnight. It starts with uncomfortable honesty.
You get there by asking yourself real questions:
Where am I abandoning myself just to keep peace?
What patterns keep repeating in different faces?
What am I tolerating that actually hurts me?
Where am I blaming others instead of choosing differently?
Owning your shit means you stop waiting for apologies, closure, or explanations.
You give closure to yourself.
It means understanding that boundaries are not about pushing people away. They are about finally standing closer to yourself.
And honestly, it’s not always graceful.
Sometimes it looks messy. Sometimes it feels lonely. Sometimes you question if you’re being too hard… until you realize how peaceful your life becomes when you stop reopening doors that were meant to close.
I don’t only do this in real life. I do it on social media too.
Because access is still access. And I learned that healing also means being consistent with your decisions, even when no one else understands them.
If I say “I don’t want you in my life”, it’s not said in anger. It’s said after thinking, feeling, and trying enough.
It simply means I finally chose myself, and this time, I’m not going back on that.

In my personal journey toward self-ownership, I've realized that setting boundaries is one of the most transformative acts you can commit to. Life often brings us repeated patterns, people, and situations that test our limits. At first, it feels uncomfortable to enforce limits, especially when we’re conditioned to please others or seek their approval. However, I found that establishing clear boundaries isn’t about excluding others out of anger or resentment. Instead, it’s about prioritizing your well-being and standing firmly for your values. Reflecting on questions like "Where am I abandoning myself to keep the peace?" or "What repeated behaviors from others am I tolerating that harm me?" can illuminate the areas where boundaries are necessary. This kind of self-inquiry requires brutal honesty but paves the way for healthier relationships. Interestingly, the digital world mirrors real life in this regard. Being selective about who you allow into your social media circles helps protect your energy and mental health. I've experienced firsthand how consistent boundary-setting online fosters an environment where I feel safe and respected. At times, maintaining these boundaries feels messy and lonely. There were moments when I doubted my decisions and felt guilty for pushing people away. But the peace that comes from not reopening doors meant to be closed is incomparable. It’s a powerful reminder that not everyone deserves access to your time, energy, or emotions. Choosing yourself is an ongoing process—one that requires courage but leads to profound personal growth and emotional freedom.
