Not Everyone Deserves Access to You

In my personal journey toward emotional and spiritual healing, I have learned the critical importance of discernment in protecting what is sacred within me. However, over time, I realized that not everyone is equipped to handle our innermost growth or to honor the peace and healing that God works within us. This realization echoes the biblical wisdom shared in Matthew 7:6, "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine..." which teaches us that while our experiences and growth are precious, not all are meant to witness or share in them. This is not about shutting people out but about stewardship—carefully deciding to whom and when we reveal our vulnerabilities and progress. From my experience, unwisely sharing your spiritual and emotional breakthroughs can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, diminished peace, or even hostility. People who are unwilling to understand or respect these sacred parts of us may react negatively or trample on our freely given trust. That’s why developing spiritual discernment—recognizing hearts, motives, and the spirit behind people's words and actions—is essential. Practically, this means I have started to root myself deeply in Scripture and prayer, seeking daily guidance to know how and when to share what God has placed in me. It has taught me that wisdom is not about hiding out of pride but about protecting the calling, anointing, and assignments entrusted to us. Walking in love balanced with wisdom has been crucial. I speak life and encouragement but remain alert to the readiness of others to receive this. This balance helps safeguard my peace and preserves my purpose, enabling me to flourish without unnecessary setbacks.
