Protecting my peace 🫶🏼

Lately, I've been reflecting a lot on how social media affects my peace of mind. As a mom of three, life is already busy, and adding the constant swirl of online opinions and negativity makes it even more challenging. I noticed that posting regularly, especially on Instagram stories with everyday moments, helps me feel connected but it also comes with the pressure of judgment or unwanted comments. What struck me the most is how polarized conversations online have become. It feels like no matter what you share, someone finds a reason to criticize or dismiss your point of view. That can really wear you down, so I've learned to be more selective about what I post and to prioritize my mental health over engagement numbers. I try to focus on sharing content that lifts others up or simply reflects my authentic life without over-editing or worrying about perfection. It's refreshing to post without the pressure to impress. At the same time, sometimes the best choice is to just step back and not post at all if it doesn't feel right. Protecting my peace means setting boundaries with social media—limiting screen time, muting negativity, and choosing to engage only in spaces that support positive and meaningful interactions. This mindset has brought me so much more joy and balance. If you're feeling overwhelmed by social media's demands, know that it's okay to take breaks or curate your feed to include only what nurtures your well-being. Ultimately, our peace is worth protecting, and sometimes less really is more. Sharing our real, relatable moments as parents can create genuine connections that matter more than any likes or comments.
