Just gonna put *TMI* here 🫶🏼
Even though it shouldn’t be 🩷

As someone who has gone through the postpartum period multiple times, I can honestly say that a lot of what women experience isn’t discussed enough. Being a mom of three, I’ve noticed that the recovery process and emotional rollercoaster one year postpartum can be quite unexpected and, frankly, overwhelming at times. Many moms face physical and mental health challenges that are still considered taboo or 'TMI,' yet acknowledging and sharing these experiences can be incredibly validating and helpful. For instance, “unwell you’re he” from the OCR content hints at a feeling of unwellness that’s often swept under the rug. It’s common to feel tired, anxious, or physically drained long after childbirth, but these symptoms sometimes get overlooked because society expects moms to bounce back quickly. I realized that openly talking about these struggles helped me seek the right support and establish a more compassionate relationship with my body. Moreover, the hashtag topics like #postpartumjourney and #womenshealth underscore the importance of discussing all aspects of recovery—physical healing, hormonal shifts, mental wellness, and adjusting to new roles. There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline for postpartum healing, and sharing these realities helps others feel less alone. From experience, strategies like joining mom support groups online, talking with healthcare providers about postpartum symptoms, and prioritizing self-care made a big difference. Ultimately, the postpartum period is a unique journey for every woman. Normalizing conversations about the not-so-glamorous parts of motherhood can empower more moms to reach out for help and embrace their experience fully. Remember, feeling unwell or having difficulties in the postpartum period doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re human.
