For those not celebrating today for whatever reason, I’m sending a big hug your way 🩷🌷

Mother's Day can be a complex and emotional time for many of us. While it's often a day filled with joy and appreciation, it can also bring up feelings of sadness or loss for some. As a mom of three, I have experienced the full spectrum of emotions on this day — from overwhelming happiness to moments when celebrating feels challenging. What resonates most with me about Mother's Day is the authenticity behind it — the real and raw feelings that everyone experiences, regardless of whether they are a mother, have lost their mother, or are navigating a tough journey with motherhood. It's important to acknowledge those emotions and allow space for them without judgment. For anyone not celebrating today, whether due to personal circumstances or complex emotions, I want to send a big virtual hug your way. It’s okay to feel however you feel. Connecting with others who understand the ups and downs of motherhood can be comforting, and sharing our genuine stories helps build a supportive community. Relatability is key; motherhood isn’t always picture-perfect, and that’s where the real beauty lies. Keeping it real means embracing the messy, imperfect, and sometimes overwhelming experience of being a mom — and that includes feelings we may not openly share all the time. If you’re a mom or supporting one, remember that Mother’s Day is just one day, but the love and connection go on every day. Whether you’re celebrating with flowers and cards or quietly reflecting on your own journey, your feelings are valid and worthy of recognition.
