Proverbs 31 Women
Proverbs 31:20 says, “She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.” This beautiful verse reveals one of the most important qualities of a Proverbs 31 woman—compassion.
True godly character is not measured by what we possess but by how willingly we share with others. The Proverbs 31 woman understood that her blessings were not meant to stop with her. She looked beyond her own needs and noticed those who were hurting, struggling, or lacking. Her heart was open, her hands were willing, and her actions reflected the love of God.
In a world that often encourages us to focus on ourselves, this verse calls us to live differently. Serving others doesn’t always require great wealth or grand gestures. Sometimes it’s a kind word, a meal shared with a neighbor, a prayer offered for a friend, or a helping hand during a difficult season. Small acts of kindness can have an eternal impact.
Jesus Himself demonstrated this kind of love throughout His ministry. He cared for the poor, comforted the brokenhearted, and served others with humility. As followers of Christ, we are called to do the same.
This verse reminds us that generosity is not just about giving money—it’s about giving our time, attention, compassion, and love. When we open our hearts to those around us, we become the hands and feet of Jesus.
Today, ask God to show you someone who needs encouragement, kindness, or help. One simple act of love may be the very thing that points someone toward Him.
