Oh how the tables will turn….
In reflecting on the idea that the tables can turn, it’s clear that our consumer habits have tremendous power that often goes unnoticed. For example, when people in Italy stopped going out, shopping, or engaging in entertainment for just one month, it sent a strong message to the corporations that depend on continuous consumption. This collective pause revealed that businesses, which are often seen as unstoppable, actually rely entirely on our participation and spending to survive. From my experience, when we consciously decide to stop feeding the machine, it opens the door for new ways of living and creating personal and community wealth. This means building our own revenue sources and legacies rather than perpetuating support for systems that maintain oppression and prioritize profit over people. It’s about shifting our mindset from “I’ll feel better if I buy this” to “How can I better use my time and resources to support myself and others?” In today’s world, technology and media constantly encourage consumption. While some may feel trapped by these habits, recognizing them is the first step toward change. Imagine what could happen if large groups of people decided to stop subscribing to the narrative that buying equals happiness or success. Businesses that only thrive through constant consumerism would be forced to reconsider their impact and practices. This movement ties closely to the broader goal of evolving humanity and ascending into a new timeline — a new earth — where systems are built to benefit all rather than a select few. The old world is defined by outdated corporations and oppressive structures that no longer serve the collective good. By choosing where and how to spend our energy, we reclaim power and pave the way for a more equitable, sustainable future. In practical terms, this doesn’t mean abandoning convenience or progress but rather fostering awareness and intentionality in our daily choices. Whether it’s supporting local businesses, creating our own enterprises, or simply becoming more mindful consumers, each action contributes to dismantling the old system. Ultimately, the tables turn when the majority decide to act collectively and thoughtfully. It’s a reminder that change starts with us — influencing policies, cultural norms, and economic structures from the ground up. By imagining this new earth and taking steps towards it, we participate in creating a legacy worth leaving for generations to come.

Our culture as a Nation is unfortunately rooted greatly in selfishness. Too many Americans think not of their neighbors and what they have to lose, but of simply what they have to gain. But a girl can dream. 😓🇺🇸🖤
