2025 Artfight Attacks!!

You've seen some of my Artfight attacks, but what really makes an artist excited to draw your character? Often, it's a well-crafted Artfight character sheet! If you're new to Artfight or just looking to level up your character presentation, here’s my personal take on creating a sheet that artists will love to attack. Why is a Character Sheet So Important? Think of an Artfight character sheet as your character's resume. It’s a concise visual and textual guide that gives other artists all the essential information they need to draw your character accurately and with enthusiasm. A good sheet saves artists time and ensures they capture the essence of your creation. What to Include in Your Artfight Character Sheet: Basic Information: Start with the essentials: your character's name, species, and a brief personality overview. Is your character generally cheerful, like the cute, round, white cartoon character holding a yellow cupcake, or do they have a slightly annoyed expression like the cartoon girl with pink hair you might see in my attacks? Visual References: This is the most crucial part! Provide clear visual aids. Ideally, include a full-body reference from at least one angle (front is common), and if possible, a back or side view. Close-ups of important details, like specific markings on a tiger-like striped character, or the intricate design of deer-like antlers and golden eye makeup, are incredibly helpful. Don't forget accessories! If your character has a distinctive yellow halo with a green stem and yellow flower, make sure it's clearly shown, just like the details on the white, circular cartoon character. Even a simple, hand-drawn-style cartoon character benefits from clear lines and proportions. Color Palette: Always include a flat color palette! This ensures artists get the colors just right, whether it's the shade of a red crop top or dark green pants, or the specific tone of a yellow dress or grey jacket. Key Features & Quirks: List out anything unique or essential. Does your character have large eyes and whiskers, or a feathery tail? Point out their defining physical traits. Mention important personality quirks that might influence poses or expressions, like a subtle smile or a frequent thumbs-up gesture. Likes & Dislikes / Lore Snippets (Optional): While not strictly necessary for every sheet, a few bullet points about what your character likes or dislikes can inspire artists with dynamic poses or thematic elements. A tiny piece of lore can also add depth and make your character more engaging. My Personal Tips for Making an Awesome Character Sheet: Keep it Clean and Organized: Use a clear layout. Bullet points and distinct sections make it easy for artists to quickly find the information they need. Avoid walls of text! Prioritize Visuals: Even if you're not a pro artist, simple, clear sketches are gold. Show off different angles, expressions, or key outfits. If you have multiple outfits, like a dark dress and black long-sleeved top, show them distinctly. Be Specific, But Allow Freedom: Clearly state what must be included (e.g., “always has blush marks”) and what artists can interpret. This balance makes it fun for both you and the attacker. Show Their Vibe: Does your character exude elegance, or are they more playful? Convey that through visuals and brief descriptions. My recent attacks, where I tried a different art/rendering style for each, really helped me explore different vibes for characters. Update Regularly: As your character evolves, so should their sheet. Keep it fresh for new Artfight seasons! Creating a detailed and visually appealing character sheet is one of the best ways to ensure your characters get attacked and receive amazing art during Artfight.
