The story of "Harumi," a young girl who came to study in Tokyo, shared a room with a new friend named "Reko." After a short time together, Reko changed. Unlike the first known days, Reko later disappeared, causing Harumi and "Kensuke," the seniors of the club, to find Reko, but then found a lot of truths that made both of them and their readers amazed.
What would be the story of finding Reko, where she disappeared, and whether the truth would make the reader stunned, would have to read it.
Good plot / storyline, fun, hope, some excitement, some investigation, not very intense, the case is about a bit complicated, not very difficult to read, but at some point can be confused as well.
The story is fast-paced. The story is very addictive. Read and enjoy. The first part is a little boring, but the peak story makes it very addictive.
The action tells the views of many characters who slowly seek out the truth. Before the start of each chapter, the killer's point of view is separated. The descent is suspicious, making the storyline more interesting and addictive.

หลายคนอาจเห็นคำว่า “รูมเมต/รูมเมท” แล้วสงสัยก่อนเลยว่า รูมเมทคืออะไร? ในชีวิตจริงมันก็คือ “เพื่อนร่วมห้อง” คนที่แชร์พื้นที่อยู่ด้วยกัน เช่น ห้องเช่า หอพัก หรืออพาร์ตเมนต์นั่นแหละค่ะ/ครับ ซึ่งพอเป็นนิยาย แนวรูมเมตมักหยิบ “ความใกล้ชิด” กับ “ความไม่รู้จักกันจริง ๆ” มาเล่นให้เกิดความระแวง—ยิ่งเรื่องนี้เปิดด้วยบรรยากาศการมาเรียนต่อในโตเกียวของฮารุมิ แล้วย้ายมาอยู่กับเรโกะที่ตอนแรกดูปกติดี แต่ไม่นานกลับเริ่มแปลกขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ มันทำให้คำว่า roommate กลายเป็นคำที่น่ากลัวไปเลย จุดที่เราชอบใน รูมเมต (ルームメイト) คือการเล่าหลายมุมมองและมีพาร์ตสั้น ๆ ที่เหมือนมุมของ “ฆาตกร” มาคั่นก่อนแต่ละบท ทำให้ตอนอ่านจะเผลอคิดตลอดว่า “นี่ใช่คนนี้ไหมนะ?” แล้วก็โดนผู้เขียนหลอกให้เปลี่ยนใจไปมาเรื่อย ๆ พล็อตการ “ตามหาเพื่อนร่วมห้องที่หายไป” (ตามคำโปรยหลังปก) ทำงานได้ดีมาก เพราะมันไม่ใช่แค่หายตัวเฉย ๆ แต่มีพฤติกรรมที่เปลี่ยนไปก่อนหาย ทำให้ปมมันหนาและชวนสืบ ถ้าคุณกำลังหาแนวทางอ่านแบบไม่พังประสบการณ์ เราแนะนำ 3 อย่างนี้จากที่อ่านมา: 1) อย่าพยายามจับผิดตั้งแต่ต้นมากเกินไป เพราะเรื่องนี้ตั้งใจให้พีคตั้งแต่ช่วงแรก ๆ พอเราอ่านแบบปล่อยไหล จะสนุกกว่า 2) จดชื่อตัวละคร/ความสัมพันธ์คร่าว ๆ (ฮารุมิ–เรโกะ–เคนสึเกะ) เพราะพอเล่าหลายมุม บางช่วงจะงงได้จริง แต่ไม่ถึงกับอ่านยาก 3) สังเกต “แรงจูงใจ” มากกว่า “หลักฐาน” เพราะเรื่องนี้หักมุมเก่ง หลักฐานอาจพาเราไปผิดทาง แต่แรงจูงใจมักทิ้งร่องรอยไว้ อีกอย่างที่เจอบ่อยจากคนค้นหา คือคำว่า “Reiko” เพราะเป็นชื่อเพื่อนร่วมห้องที่เป็นศูนย์กลางของปริศนา ถ้าคุณตั้งใจอ่านเพื่อไขว่าทำไมเรโกะถึงเปลี่ยนไป/หายไป แนะนำให้อ่านต่อเนื่องยาว ๆ จะยิ่งอิน เพราะจังหวะเฉลยเขาทำมาให้แบบ “อึ้ง ทึ่ง เหวอ” จริง สุดท้าย ถ้าคุณชอบนิยายสืบสวนฆาตกรรมที่เดายาก อ่านเพลิน ไม่เน้นสืบสวนเชิงเทคนิคหนัก ๆ แต่เน้นหักมุมและความลับของคนใกล้ตัว รูมเมต น่าลองมาก โดยเฉพาะใครที่ชอบบรรยากาศแบบ “แชร์ห้องกัน แต่ไม่รู้จักกันเลย” จะอินสุด ๆ (แค่เตรียมใจเรื่องตอนจบไว้หน่อยนะ)
